2302 single channel analog battery and 2306 dual channel battery charger/simulator are specially designed for the R&D and testing of portable, battery powered products (such as cellular/cordless phones, mobile radios, pagers, etc.). These precision power supplies have super fast transient response capability, and their output characteristics are comparable to real batteries. These two power supplies adopt unique variable output resistance technology, and their voltage output can completely simulate the response of the battery (US Patent No. 6204647). Even if the DUT quickly jump from standby state (low current) to RF emission state (high current), they can also provide stable voltage output. In addition, they can also monitor the power consumption of the DUT by measuring DC current and pulse load current. The battery analog channel of 2302 and 2306 can be programmed to simulate the discharged rechargeable battery and absorb the charging current from a separate charger or the charging analog channel of 2306.
